Business Development: Strategic Alliances
We recognize the challenges of taking a preclinical drug to market. Therefore in an effort to speed development and alleviate risks to our investors, TheraCarb is in the business of identifying and securing appropriate partnerships for many aspects of its business.
Currently, TheraCarb has alliances with many different foundations and industry corporations:
TheraCarb and BioVeris Corporation (NASDAQ: BIOV) have entered into a sponsored research agreement for vaccine technology relating to Candida albicans. Download PDF. 
TheraCarb's founders are members of the Alberta Ingenuity Centre for Carbohydrate Sciences (www.carbohydratecentre.ca), a Province wide multidisciplinary team developing breakthrough technologies in carbohydrate technology. TheraCarb's CSO, Dr. Bundle, is the Director of the AICCS, and the company has had a long history of collaboration with this Centre, with all contributing technologies to date having had some origin from the AICCS. This Centre is supported by a Cdn$7M grant from the Alberta Ingenuity Fund (www.albertaingenuity.ca). TheraCarb works with several Universities in Canada and the USA, and has worked with TEC Edmonton (www.tecedmonton.com), procuring intellectual property and granting exclusive licensing and commercialization rights for technologies. 
TheraCarb has been supported through AHFMR's ForeFront Program, which assists innovators with commercial health products and processes. AHFMR's ForeFront program is peer reviewed - promoting research, industry, and business collaborations. The ForeFront program is unique to Alberta. 
The National Research Council of Canada's Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) has assisted in TheraCarb's research and development, and supported employment at TheraCarb through their Youth Internship Program.
TheraCarb has partnered with Biolamation Inc. for TheraCarb's information technology services.
